A trial is underway in Claiborne County for a man accused of shooting and killing a teenager while hunting.
68-year-old David Rowland is charged with reckless homicide and failure to wear daylight fluorescent orange.
Investigators say Rowland shot and killed 15-year-old Devin Smith of Middlesboro, Kentucky. Smith was hunting with his grandfather.
Rowland told authorities he thought the movement in the heavily wooded area was an animal.
Claiborne County Sheriff David Ray told 10News after the incident that the three hunters were camouflaged, and weren't wearing appropriate orange colors for hunting.
