KUB is warning customers about a scam.
The utility says several customers have reported someone calling them to say they owe money on their account. The caller also asks for financial information and even offered to send someone to their home to collect the money.
KUB says it would never call or email asking for financial information, and would not collect payments at home.
KUB encourages customers to ask to see an employee's company ID and to call the utility to verify the number before allowing them inside your home.
