Breakthrough Knoxville, located off of Maryville Pike, is hosting its 2nd annual Circus Extravaganza with proceeds going to benefit adults with autism. They've got everything from live music to tight-wire acts. Doors open at 6:00pm Thursday and Saturday. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids.
Music duo Elenowen headline this weekend's KARM Camp Out for Homelessness. The World's Fair Park will be filled with live music, and loads of fun, family activities starting Friday night at 6:00pm. It's $20 for overnight campers and only $10 for "Concert Campers" that stay until 10:00pm.
The Knoxville Opera will showcase Cinderella, this weekend at the Tennessee Theatre. The first show is Friday with doors opening at 7:00pm. On Sunday, dress the kids in costume for a chance to get their pictures taken on stage with the cast. Doors open Sunday at 1:30pm.
If you're downtown Saturday, just follow the crowd and the smell of great food to the 12th Annual Rossini Festival. This street fair is a celebration of art, dance music and opera. Check out Gay street and Market Square from 11:00am to 9:00pm.
A few blocks down at the Church Street United Methodist Church check out the amazing vocal ensemble, Seraphic Fire. This 2-time Grammy nominated choir has a repertoire that ranges from Gregorian chant to more modern works. Tickets are $20. Show starts Saturday night at 7:30pm.
The line-up for this year's Fort Sanders Fest is stout. 14 bands will descend on World's Fair Park for this year's festival. Proceeds go to benefit the Scarecrow Foundation. Tickets are $12 for 18 and up. Music kicks off at 2:00pm.
Also Saturday night, Boyd's Jig and Reel in the Old City has Grace Adele and the Grand Band. It's a healthy dose of alt-country starting at 9:00pm. The show is 18 and up. Admission is free.
Stop by the plaza at Ripley's Aquarium on Saturday from 1:00pm to 6:00pm for the Gatlinburg Smoky Mountain Winefest. Enjoy samples from more than a dozen wineries. Participants must be at least 21. Admission is $20.
Another fun event in Gatlinburg Saturday is the Great Smoky Mountains Salamander Ball. Come dressed as your favorite critter and dance the night away. There will be live music from the Johnson Swingtet and live salamanders on exhibit. Be at the Gatlinburg Convention Center at 6:00pm for a fun night.
Friday night, join racers from all over the country for the Smoky Mountain Speedway "World of Outlaws" Late Model Series. It's the biggest event to hit the track in 10 years. For tickets and start times, check out www.smokymountainspeedway.com.
The Knoxville Zoo always makes for a fun weekend, especially when characters like Curious George and Skippyjon Jones are on hand for Storybook Saturday. Hang with the animals and your favorite storybook friends from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
Knoxville has a rich architectural history that can be observed in many of its neighborhoods. This Sunday, you can get a closer look at the Fourth and Gill Tour of Homes. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Central United Methodist Church on 3rd Avenue. Tour starts at 1:00pm.
We wind down the weekend with old-school metal revivalist The Sword with Kyng. They'll be rocking at the Bijou Theatre Sunday night at 8:00pm. Tickets start at $16.
