A homegrown fast-food chain with an at times cult-like following is adding an additional East Tennessee location.
Pal's Sudden Service is adding a location in Jefferson City. The owner/operator of the Pal's location in Morristown tells 10News the new restaurant will be located along 11-E near Walmart. It will be owned by Tri-Cities man Justin Wilcox. Work on the new location is set to be begin in a couple of weeks with a tentative opening date for sometime in September.
Pal's Sudden Service has several locations in the Tri-Cities and in Southwest Virginia. Its menu choices include burgers, hotdogs and cheddar rounds. According to its website, Pal's is the first restaurant chain to receive the Bladridge National Quality Award. The chain says the award is the nation's highest honor in fast-food quality.
