During a domestic welfare check, Knox County deputies uncovered components of a meth lab at a home on 6518 Babelay Road in East Knox County Sunday afternoon.

According to KSCO spokesperson Hillary Coward, officials arrested and charged Ricky Lewis, 44, of Knoxville with making meth related charges. He's currently being held in the Knox County Jail under a $17,000 bond.

When authorities detected a strange smell, they found evidence of multiple previous meth labs. Next, they evacuated everyone from mobile home and notified KSCO Narcotics Unit.
