Knoxville Symphony League Show House

This is the final week of this year's Knoxville Symphony League Show House event.
Proceeds benefits the education and outreach program of the KSO.
The 2013 Show House features more than 10,000 square feet with two dozen decorators contributing interior designs. Some of the rooms incorporate some of the owner's own accessories.

The Show House is at 1462 Rudder Lane off of Northshore Drive in the Rocky Hill Area.

It is open through Sunday, May 12.

Stamp Out Hunger

Benefits Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee

The National Association of Letter Carriers' (NALC) is holding its 21st annual food drive "Stamp out Hunger" to combat hunger on Saturday, May 11, 2013.
Letter carriers throughout region will be collecting non-perishable donations from homes as they deliver mail along their postal routes.
The food will be delivered to Second Harvest Food Bank and will be distributed throughout a network of food programs in an 18-country service area.
During the week leading up to the food drive, bags for food collection will be placed in Knox County area mailboxes. Residents are encouraged to fill the bags with non-perishable canned goods. The filled bags should be placed on or around mailboxes before 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11th for pick-up. Each letter carrier will collect food along his or her route, as mail is delivered that day.

13th annual Vestival

13th Annual Vestival: South Knoxville's Art & Heritage Festival 
Saturday, May 11, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Rain or shine.
On the grounds of the Historic Candoro Marble Company at 681 Maryville Pike 
Admission is free and open to the public. A $5 per person donation is requested to support the Candoro Arts and Heritage Center.

As Vestival tradition holds, the festival begins at 11 a.m. with a casual Mother's Day brunch, which is free for mothers.
