The father of a man who killed a Cocke County woman will not go to jail for not reporting the crime.

Terry Stock was originally charged with a felony count of accessory after the fact of first degree murder in the death of Megan Maxwell.

He pleaded guilty on Tuesday to a misdemeanor.  A judge sentenced him to 11 months and 29 days on probation.

Stock's son, Jeffrey Lee Stock, entered a "best interest" plea deal earlier this year on second degree murder and other charges in Maxwell's death.

Maxwell disappeared in April 2009.  Her remains were discovered in November 2010.
