Village Veterinary Medical Center in Farragut hosted its 4th Annual Pet Fair on Saturday.
Families got to check out cats and dogs. Children also enjoyed face painting and arts and crafts. Families also learned more information about how to raise an animal the right way.
More than twenty rescue groups were at the event, including Young-Williams Animal Center and Horse Haven.
For all animal lovers, the fair was a way to celebrate our furry friends. "We're just trying to celebrate the lives of our four-legged family members in East Tennessee," veterinarian Kristi Lively said. "So this is just our little West Knoxville pet party."
Organizers also encouraged families looking for a pet to consider adoption before going to a breeder.
