The Emory Valley Center held a special prom for its clients Saturday.
The Oak Ridge center works to enhance the lives of children and adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This weekend, Emory Valley held its second annual prom on its clients' behalf.
"I know they have a really good time," said organizer Maggie Owen. "They talk about it all through the year."
More than 150 people RSVP'd for the event.
"There's so many things that so many of us take for granted," said center development director Robin Biloski
Prom came as the center finds itself trying to raise money for a new facility.
So far, the center has raised $2.5 million out of the $3.3 million it needs for a new facility.
