Officers were still looking for two suspects Sunday morning after a carjacking incident in Harlan Count, Kentucky, prompted a police pursuit in West Virginia.

Kentucky State Police said a man reported two people got inside of his vehicle while it was parked on US 119 at Sookie Ridge around 5 p.m. Saturday and drove off. Officers were able to find out the man and woman were heading to West Virginia.

Chapmanville Police spotted the vehicle and tried to pull the car over, but the driver took off.

Police said the driver later ditched the vehicle and ran. The vehicle was recovered.
