About 30 middle and high school students escaped a school bus fire on the way to classes at Powell Middle and High Schools Friday morning.
According to a Knoxville Police Department spokesperson, the engine caught fire around 7:15 a.m. near the corner of Bradshaw Garden and Pleasant Ridge Rd.
No one was injured. The students and driver used the front and rear exits to exit the bus.
The kids were safely driven to school by other buses.
Knox County dispatchers say no kids were injured when a school bus headed to Powell Middle and Powell High School caught fire Friday morning.
The bus stopped at the corner of Pleasant Ridge and Bradshaw Road.
