Interstate 81 southbound in Greene County has reopened after it shut down Wednesday afternoon due to a truck fire.
The southbound lanes of Interstate 81 in Greene County is shut down, because of a truck fire, according to TDOT.
The incident was reported at 4:40 pm at milemarker 18, between Bulls Gap and Morristown.
Southbound traffic is completely shut down, and is being diverted onto alternate routes. Northbound is affected by "rubberneckers."
TDOT's website estimates the accident could be cleared by 6:30 pm.
