According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 19-year-old woman died Saturday morning, several days after she was involved in a car crash in Morgan County.
A report from THP said the accident happened Monday on Highway 62.
According to the report, 19-year-old Jaania Dickerson was driving when her vehicle ran off one side of the road.
She then overcorrected and ran through a guardrail on the other side of the road. Her vehicle eventually landed in a creek bed.
Dickerson died at UT Medical Center on Saturday morning.
THP reported she was wearing a seatbelt.
Authorities also said Dickerson tested positive for drugs.
