All lanes of I-75 are were reopened Saturday evening in Campbell County after a Southbound lane was closed earlier due to a semi-truck fire.
The fire happened at mile marker 152 near the Kentucky state border. TDOT said the incident initially blocked the southbound right lane and created heavy to stop-and-go traffic conditions in the area. Northbound traffic did not experience any delays.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol spent much of Saturday afternoon into the evening working the cargo fire off I-75.
A THP spokesperson had limited information Saturday evening but said that the driver may have sustained minor injuries.
THP told 10News that the vehicle was hauling approximately 44,000 pounds of metal sheeting.
At 11:30 Saturday night troopers were still on the scene while the vehicle was being off-loaded.
