UT scientists think they've found what might be America's oldest cave and rock art, and it's right here in Tennessee.

Scientists and researchers found some drawings on the Cumberland Plateau that date back to about 500 years ago. But, radio-carbon dating says one painting was made about 6,000 years ago.

Scientists say the drawings show how people viewed the world then, their place in it, and show deep thought.

Scientists think the collection of works are part of a pattern that stretches from Kentucky to Alabama.
