Blockhouse Road in Blount Co. was under deep water following heavy storms. 6/27/13
Heavy rains and high winds early Thursday morning left several East Tennessee roads covered with water and debris.
Emergency dispatchers in Campbell, Knox and Blount Counties reported several roads underwater and trees blown down.
In Blount County, nearly one foot of water covered a section of Blockhouse Road. However, on many roads the water receeded just about as fast as it rose.
The storms also knocked out power to more than 8,900 KUB customers. Once the storm passed utility crews were able to get most of those customers back on-line.
