Spanish Slaw

1 head shredded cabbage
1 small onion diced small

1 tsp. celery seed

Mix together in a bowl.

In saucepan bring to boil:
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
3/4 c. vegetable oil
1/2 c. white vinegar

After bringing to a boil pour over cabbage and mix. Marinate for 12 hours in refrigerator. Optional items can be added...olives, pimento, bell pepper, bacon bits etc...endless possibilities.
