(WBIR-Athens) Starting this month, Daystart Counseling Center will begin a new partnership with Helen Ross McNabb Center.
Daystar has operated in Athens for more than 22 years, providing individual, couple, family and group services to children, adolescents and adults. Helen Ross McNabb Center will offer Daystar's services at its current location at 748 Tell Street in Athens.
The regional behavioral health care provider will hire all Daystar employees, including several LCSW staff members and an office manager. The counseling center will run with the name, Daystar, a service of the Helen Ross McNabb Center. According to a release from Helen Ross McNabb Center, there will be no disruption in services for Daystar clients.
This service expansion is congruent with Helen Ross McNabb Center's mission to expand its services to help more people in the region. Opening an outpatient center in McMinn County will allow the center to provide services to five more counties, which include McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, Polk and Bradley.
