(WBIR - Knoxville) Knoxville police arrested a man Friday who is accused of stealing several items belonging to Pilot founder Jim Haslam, including his UT football SEC championship ring.
KPD charged Joshua Vandeventer with two counts of aggravated burglary, one count of theft over $60,000 and one count of theft under $500.
One of the items was Haslam's SEC championship ring when he played for the Vols back in the early '50s.
Vandeventer was employed by the Haslams, but was let go back in April.
He was arrested in the Tri-Cities and is now in the Knox County Jail.
Jim Haslam started the Pilot Corporation, and is the father of current CEO Jimmy Haslam and Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam.
