(WBIR-New Market) Authorities released an autopsy on Friday that reports FBI agents shot a wanted Jefferson County man three times in March.

The autopsy showed that Scott Edwards Evans, 40, of New Market suffered three gunshot wounds to the neck, chest and abdomen.

Evans was accused of sending and receiving explicit images of children.

The FBI agents were executing a search warrant for his house and vehicle in New Market, when the shooting occurred. It's not clear what triggered the agent to shoot Evans, and the FBI has not answered what led to the shooting.
