2nd suspect charged in deadly North Knoxville shooting

(WBIR - Knoxville) A teenager has been charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder in connection with a deadly shooting that took place earlier in the month.

Police arrested 19-year-old Marcus Stanford, Jr. Wednesday evening.

The deadly shooting occurred July 14th on Reed Street in North Knoxville. Mark Hanna, 21, died in that shooting. Robert Wade, 21, and Abel Henry, 22, were hurt.

Another man, 22-year-old Deauntay Tate, was previously arrested in connection with the shooting.

An investigation is ongoing.

A Knoxville man is now behind bars, charged in connection with a deadly shooting that killed one man and hurt two others.

Knoxville police arrested 22-year-old Deauntay Tate at a West Knoxville apartment Monday night. He's now charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder following a shooting Sunday night on Reed Street in North Knoxville.

After getting reports of gunshots in that area, three victims arrived at Ft. Sanders Medical Center minutes later with gunshot wounds.

Mark Hanna, 21, died. Robert Wade, 21, and Abel Henry, 22, were hurt.

A young man is dead following a shooting over the weekend.

Knoxville police say just before 8 o'clock Sunday night, officers responded to a report of numerous shots fired on Reed Street in North Knoxville. Several minutes later, three gunshot victims arrived at Ft. Sanders Medical Center.

Police believe the shooting occurred among acquaintances. The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Mark Hanna.

Officials aren't releasing the names of the two other men who were hurt because the investigation is ongoing.
