(WBIR - Knoxville, TN) A Knoxville woman told police she was sleeping when her boyfriend was stabbed, but officers said Tuesday they don't buy that story. That woman is now in jail.
According to a report, 911 dispatchers received a call for help just after 11 o'clock Monday night from a home on Brown Avenue in North Knoxville. The caller told dispatchers her neighbor Tommy Nalory showed up at her front door needing help with an apparent stab wound.
When officers interviewed Nalory, he told them his girlfriend, Kimberly Brown, stabbed him during an argument.
Investigators tracked down Brown, but said she denied everything and claimed to have been asleep at the time of the stabbing. Regardless, after seeing signs of a struggle inside the location in question, KPD proceeded with assault charges against the woman.
Nalory was transported to University Of Tennessee Medical Center to be treated for "non-life threatening" injuries. Brown was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault.
