(WBIR - Knoxville, TN) A young girl who's heart and brave spirit caught the attention of America passed away Tuesday.
Cancer-warrior and 13-year-old CoverGirl star Talia Castellano was featured heavily on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". DeGeneres confirmed the teenager's death Tuesday on Twitter. The talk show host tweeted, "This year I met a very special girl, and today we lost her. Sending my heart to Talia's family."
CoverGirl released a statement on their Facebook page. It read:
"In memory of our inspiring honorary COVERGIRL who once said, "Makeup is my wig," we're celebrating you.
Thank you for showing us what beauty and strength looks like. Thank you for inspiring millions with your personality and talent.
You have forever changed us and we're thankful to have been a part of your life."
Castellano appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to bring attention to childhood cancer.
