(WBIR - Oliver Springs) An East Tennessee police chief's daughter is facing burglary charges for stealing from her own father's department.
Oliver Springs police say they noticed four car batteries missing from a Hummer that belongs to the department. They discovered two suspects pawned the batteries and made off with $1,400 in goods.
Investigators say the daughter of Oliver Springs Police Chief Kenneth Morgan stole the batteries along with another suspect. Caitlin Morgan and Ronald Adam Brown both face theft charges.
Morgan has previous theft and burglary charges dating back to early 2012.
Investigators recovered all the stolen items but a cable was destroyed.
