(WBIR - Knoxville) The state has transferred ownership of the Lakeshore property to the city, but the future of that site is still in limbo.
Wednesday, Mayor Madeline Rogero told 10News the city plans to lease some of the buildings back to the state as it finishes moving out of the property during the next few months.
City council still must approve that plan. Some buildings will be torn down, but there remains the question of what to do with the property.
The city is still capturing the ideas from the public about what changes, if any, people want to see with that land.
