We start the weekend off with some laughs at Side Splitters. Comedian Killer Beas will be headlining Thursday through Saturday. He brings a style of "everyman" humor that spans many demographics. Tickets start at $10.

It's tomato-time in Tennessee folks, we're talking about the Grainger County Tomato Festival. The event kicks off Friday and runs through Sunday with everything from music and crafts to the always popular Mater War. This year's festival is located at Rutledge Middle School off HWY 11W.

The first of two late night runs takes place Friday night. The Point church is hosting its "Will Run For Food" 5K to benefit hungry kids through Second Harvest Food Banks. The race kicks off at 6:30pm starting at The Bearden Beer Market.

You'll need to stay up a little bit later on Saturday if you're interested in running the Pigeon Forge Midnight 8k. The course takes you right down the middle of the main drag in Pigeon Forge. It's the perfect race for those looking to escape the hot summer sun.

The Tennessee Theatre continues its Summer Movie Magic this weekend with "Rear Window". Jimmy Stewart and Alfred Hitchcock team up for one of cinema's most intense thrillers. You can catch the show Friday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm. Tickets for adults are $8.

The zoo is always a fun place to visit on the weekend. Saturday, it's even more fun when The Lorax comes to visit. From 10am to 2pm you and your family can meet the fuzzy Dr. Seuss character and pose for photos with no additional cost to your general admission.

Also Saturday, the Knoxville Museum of Art is celebrating summer with its Family Fun Day. Enjoy art-making activities, face painting, balloon twisting and loads of entertainment. This event is free and goes from 11am to 3pm.

Whether you are a driver or spectator, you don't want to miss the intense drifting skills on display at Chilhowee Park. East Tennessee Drift will be carving up the road Saturday with gates opening at 10am for car show entries and spectators. You can even sign up for a drifting clinic on Sunday.

You may recognize Ralphie May from shows like "Last Comic Standing" and numerous stints on Comedy Central. Saturday night, Ralphie headlines at the Bijou Theatre. You can still grab tickets to the show for $30. Curtain goes up at 8pm.
