Opry Mills has issued a statement condemning Gerrit Greiert, the 21-year-old who allegedly took lewd photos of young boys in a mall restroom.

"Opry Mills will not tolerate this type of criminal behavior," said Jad Murphy, mall general manager. "The safety of our shoppers and employees is our top priority."

The statement also praised the work of Metro police and mall security.

Police have arrested a 21-year-old man who, they say, admitted to photographing young boys in an Opry Mills restroom.

A father was in the restroom near the food court with his 10-year-old son Sunday when he saw Gerrit Greiert reach over the stall wall and begin taking pictures with his cell phone, according to court records.

The father confronted Greiert and took his phone before calling police.

Police searched the phone and found photos of two young boys with their genitals exposed in the bathroom, Greiert's arrest warrant said. Greiert admitted to taking the photos.

One of those boys was the 10-year-old; the other has not been identified.

Greiert has been charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
