Jonathan Hammond moved into Sertoma housing more than two years ago.
Then, the 19 year-old was removed from parent care by the government...according to Jonathan's friend. He arrived at Sertoma confused, broken hearted, immobile and with very poor eyesight.
Now, at age 22, Hammond bares a nearly permanent smile. He graduated from South Doyle High School this year and hopes to become a firefighter in the future.
Some doors, bathrooms and a small bedroom prevent Hammond from using the facility with ease.
Hammond will be one of several residents who will move into the new, fully handicap friendly housing facility.
The 22 year-old is one happy person, but this Labor of Love project leaves him thrilled.
