(WBIR-Greeneville) A Tennessee-based company is expanded in Greene County, bring dozens of new jobs to the area.
Miller Industries, a towing equipment manufacturer headquartered in Chattanooga, announced plans Thursday to invest $1.8 million to expand in facilities in Greeneville. The company plans to create 58 new jobs for this facility.
The project includes a 6,300 square-foot expansion, new machinery and equipment, as well as an additional 40,000 feet of rented space. This expansion will bring a new product line to the company, which will manufacture and refurbish large trailers, which can haul up to 11 vehicles to a dealership.
The state's "Jobs for Tennessee" program made this project possible. Miller Industries already employs 88 people in Greene County.
