(WBIR-Pineville, Ky) Kentucky State Police told WLEX-TV on Wednesday that there was a romantic relationship between a shooter and one of his victims.

Investigators said Raymond Smith was involved with Robin Smith, until she broke if off about a month ago.  They say Raymond Smith was unhappy with Robin, but are not calling that a motive for the shooting at this time.

Robin survived the shooting.  Her father and brother were killed.  Raymond Smith shot and killed himself.

Despite the fact that they all have the same last name, officials
say that is just a coincidence, and they are not related.
