(WBIR-Sevier County, Tn) Dolly Parton is promising a benefit concert in East Tennessee during her 2014 World Tour.

Dolly made the announcement at a fundraising event for the Dr. Robert F. Thomas Foundation this weekend.  Dolly is the honorary chairperson for the foundation, which works to expand medical services in Sevier County.

Dolly, who appeared via closed circuit television, usually contributes live auction items to the Evening of Elegance fundraiser, but could not this year because of her schedule.

The arrangements for the benefit concert have not been completed, but Dolly told the group it would be in the spring.  A date and location should be announced soon.

Proceeds from the ticket sales will be split between the Robert F. Thomas foundation and Dolly's Imagination Library.

Dolly's connection with Dr. Robert Thomas goes way back.  The doctor delivered Dolly.  She also named a chapel in his honor at Dollywood.
