(WBIR-Downtown Knoxville) The Knoxville Museum of Art closed its doors to the public on Monday as crews start internal renovations.
Renovations have been underway for months, but now they've moved inside. Crews are working on a new design fro the museum, which will include new floors and new bathrooms. They're also still working on the North Garden, which will serve as the new event space for the museum.
Museum workers said they plan to reopen the KMA the day after Thanksgiving.
