(WBIR-Knoxville) Investigators have a good picture of the man who robbed the UT Federal Credit Union on UT's campus on Tuesday, leaving behind a fake bomb.  The University Center had to be evaluated as bomb squad technicians evaluated the device.

According to a release from the FBI, the man came into the UTFCU at 11:30.  He placed a package on the counter, said it was a bomb, and demanded money.

After getting an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect left on foot, exiting the building and heading east on Cumberland Avenue.  He left the package on the counter.

UT freshman Kyle Benson was inside the University Center when the robbery occured.

"One of the UT assistants came through with a tag, and he was pulling headphones out of people's ears saying 'we gotta go,'" recalled Benson. "Helping a dude scoop up his laptop and stuff, and we walked out... everyone is running out."

The building was quickly evaluated, and the KPD bomb squad was called in to inspect the alleged device.  They determined it was a hoax.

The subject is described as black male in his late 40's to early 50's.  He was 6' to 6'02" tall and weighed between 180-190 pounds.  He was wearing white medical scrubs, consisting of a short sleeved shirt and long pants, with a grey striped polo shirt underneath, black ball cap, a white 3M dust mask, and one blue latex glove.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Knoxville FBI at 865-544-0751, the University Police Department at 865-974-3114, or KPD at 865-215-7212. A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of this individual.
