(WBIR-Knoxville) An automotive airbag inflator manufacturer announced Wednesday it will expand its existing Knoxville location, creating 115 new jobs in Knox County.
ARC Automotive, Inc. said it decided to invest $3 million in the expansion, so it can manage its growing domestic and international customer base. Gov. Bill Haslam said this expansion is great news for Tennessee's automotive industry.
"Continued investment by companies like ARC Automotive plays a big part in the momentum and success of Tennessee's automotive industry," said Haslam. "ARC has been in Knoxville for more than 20 years, and we are grateful for the company's ongoing commitment."
ARC Automotive is a global manufacturing of inflator products for airbag applications, including driver, passenger, side and curtain airbag inflators. The company is headquartered in Knoxville, but has offices Japan and Korea and manufacturing facilities in China and Mexico.
