I grew up sitting on my dad's lap watching Georgia Bulldog football games and trying to mimic his golf swing as he watched Bobby Jones instructional videos. So I guess you can say, I've been around sports my whole life! In fact, I didn't just get it from my dad. My entire family loves sports. Sometimes I'll even get phone calls from back home asking me to be the judge in my parent's argument on who should win the Heisman. People always ask me how I got such a passion for sports, and I blame it all on my family.

I was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but I consider myself a Texas gal. My family moved to Dallas when I was 10, and they still live there. Needless to say, I am a Cowboys fan. When I was a teenager, I knew wanted to be in broadcasting. I used to shadow my godfather who was an anchor at WFAA in Dallas. He actually used to work for WBIR as well. I would sit at home with the closed captioning on and try to read the sentences like a teleprompter. So after high school, I decided to follow my dream and get my broadcast degree from the University of Missouri. I am an avid Mizzou fan- Welcome to the SEC Tigers!!!

After college I took a job at Charlottesville, Virginia, as the weekend sports anchor for WCAV. After 18 months there, a job opened up here at WBIR, and I knew that's where I wanted to be. Growing up in Big 12 country, I've always been a huge college football fan, and what better place to cover college sports than right here in Knoxville! I've been a part of the WBIR sports team since 2008.

In my free time, you can usually find me on the tennis courts or out running. In recent years, I've developed a love for cooking, however, I should warn you that it is a work in progress! Of course, if I'm not at work and there's a big game on, you'll find me on my couch glued to the TV.
