Chattanooga approves benefits for same-sex partners

The city of Chattanooga is now the third city in the state to approve health benefits for city workers to same-sex partners. The measure passed at Wednesday night's city council meeting.

Opponents say they are working on a petition that would allow the voters to decide on the matter.

Knoxville and Collegedale are the other two cities to approve expanded benefits.
