KNOXVILLE, TENN. - The Knox County Sheriff's Office arrested a man believed to be responsible for robbing 11 businesses across Knoxville in the past month.
Jeremy Clifford Johnson, 35, was taken into custody after a traffic stop on Millertown Pike Friday. Joint efforts of KCSO and the Knoxville Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit led to Johnson being identified as a suspect.
According to KSCO Johnson is responsible for robbing the Shell gas station on Clinton Highway on Aug. 31, and Big D Food Store at Maynardville Pike on Aug. 25. KSCO believes he also robbed nine other Knoxville businesses.
Johnson is currently charged with four counts of aggravated robbery. He is being held in the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility.
Johnson's criminal history in Knox County includes theft of property, theft and driving under the influence.
