KPD: Four arrested in East Knoxville drug raid

KNOXVILLE - The Knoxville Police Department’s crime unit arrested four people Thursday after finding drugs and guns while executing a state search warrant.

Authorities found more than 100 grams of marijuana, hundreds of dollars in cash, four digital scales, sandwich baggies, a security camera, a monitor, several cell phones and two 9-millimeter handguns from the residence on the 2700 block of Washington Avenue around 6:10 p.m. Thursday.

KPD said the residence has been under investigation due to on-going criminal activity, including the sale of drugs.

Kimberly Wallace, 42, and David L. Wright Sr., 38, face several drug and gun charges.

Emauel Howard, 20, faces possession of Schedule VI controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The drug charges for Wallace, Wright and Howard are also in violation of drug-free school zone.

Knoxville police said five other people were inside when authorities served the search warrant. Tyrone Jackson, 29, on an outstanding theft warrant. KPD released the other four people.
