UPDATE, TUESDAY: The city of Oak Ridge has identified the driver that was killed in a crash on State Route 95 Monday as 78-year-old Ralph Connor, of Oliver Springs.
The crash remains under investigation.
PREVIOUS STORY: One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on State Route 95 in Oak Ridge Monday afternoon.
The Oak Ridge Police Department responded to the crash just before 2 p.m. Investigators say a four-door sedan driving southbound on SR 95 near White Wing Road crossed over the double yellow line and hit the trailer of a semi-truck in the northbound lane.
Police said a third vehicle went off the road in the northbound lane, but did not make contact with the two other vehicles.
The driver of the car was taken to Fort Loudon Medical Center in Lenoir City, where he later died from his injuries.
There were no other injuries in the crash.
SR 95 was closed for approximately two hours following the crash.
Oak Ridge Police are still investigating the crash. Names of the people involved have not yet been released.
