Searching for new leads in Knoxville cab driver's 2014 murder

Oct. 26, 2016: Police are looking for new leads in the 2014 murder of a Knoxville taxi driver.

KNOXVILLE - It's been more than two years since a Knoxville cab driver was murdered, and his family is working with investigators to renew interest in the case.

On June 29, 2014, Paul Shepherd was found dead in his cab in south Knoxville. He had just started working for the taxi company two days earlier.

No arrests were ever made, and on Wednesday, family members joined investigators in handing out flyers about the case in the neighborhood where Shepherd died.

"We need some more leads. We have some, but we need more," said his father, Paul. "I'm hoping someone will stand up and say I seen it, I know who did it, this is the person who did it."

Investigators believe two suspects are responsible for the murder.

If you have any information, call the investigator at 865-215-7140.
