Teen suffers graze wound in Mechanicsville shooting

Knoxville police are investigating a shooting Monday night in which a bullet grazed a teen's arm.

The 17-year-old victim's name was not released.

Authorities were called about 6:15 p.m. on the shooting at Dunbar Street and Moses Avenue in the Mechanicsville area.

When police arrived they learned the 17-year-old had suffered a graze wound, according to a release from Knoxville Police Department Sgt. Sam Henard.

Investigators are now looking into the shooting.
