Two men charged with robbing North Knox County businesses

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men Tuesday night for robbing two Knoxville businesses within the past week.

Jeffery Scott Hampton, 45, and Justin Lee Williamson, 27, are charged with aggravated robbery and attempted robbery.

Authorities arrested both men after a traffic stop at the CVS located on the corner of Emory Road and Conner Road around 7:07 p.m. Thursday.

KCSO said the duo is responsible for robbing the Rocky Top Market at 308 East Emory Road on Sunday, and for robbing Lee’s Food Market at 7657 Clinton Highway on Monday.

Hampton has a criminal history in Knox County including the manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of schedule I and II controlled substances along with simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Williamson has a criminal history in Knox County that includes simple possession.

Authorities are holding Hampton and Williamson in the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility. Hampton has a $27,000 bond, and Williamson has a $22,000 bond.
