A LaFollette woman faces prosecution for making false accusations against LaFollette police officers, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
A Campbell County grand jury indicted Angela Jane Morgan, 36, on two counts of filing a false report, according to the TBI. She turned herself in Wednesday at the Campbell County Jail. Bond was set at $50,000.
The TBI began looking into accusations in July by Morgan of misconduct against a LaFollette officer.
Agents decided she was making up a story.
"Upon being questioned, Morgan made additional accusations that were also determined to be false," according to a release from the TBI.
Authorities then presented their case to the grand jury for review.
