A born and raised South Carolina boy, I am very thankful for the opportunity to continue my journalism career in the South! I love the southern hospitality (and southern food) that Knoxville has to offer.
My news career began while in high school because I felt students weren't getting their news in a relatable way. I believe that good stories are out there and people want to hear them, but only in fresh and interesting ways.
My love for news and storytelling drove me to work with various news stations while studying at Wake Forest University. I worked as an intern for WMBF in Myrtle Beach, SC and WGHP in Highpoint, NC. At the national level, I was fortunate to have internships with CNN Atlanta and Voice of America in Washington, DC where I covered a wide range of stories from daily news in Africa to the tragic Charleston church shooting in my home state.
My passion is to tell stories in a way that gives a voice to the voiceless and sparks positive change. I am so excited to bring that passion to Tennessee with the WBIR family.
