FAA: flight heading to Knoxville evacuated

The FAA says a flight that left New York and was heading to Knoxville had to make an emergency landing. Officials had to evacuate the plane.

It happened just after 3 o'clock Wednesday at LaGuardia Airport. The FAA says the pilot noticed smoke in the cockpit just after it took off.

All passengers and crew evacuated and no one was hurt. The FAA lists the flight as American Eagle 3340.
