Blue Bell issues recall on flavors with cookie dough over listeria concerns

Blue Bell recalls chocolate chip cookie dough and cookie two step ice creams.

Blue Bell is voluntarily recalling select products from their Sylacauga, Ala., plant because cookie dough made from another supplier may potentially contain listeria.

According to a release Wednesday, the recall covers half-gallons and pint sizes of chocolate chip cookie dough and cookie two step flavors. The ice cream was shipped out to ten different states, including Tennessee.

No illnesses have been reported to date, and after noticing a potential problem and testing, the company informed its cookie dough supplier, Aspen Hills.

Blue Bell says customers with recalled ice cream are eligible for a full refund.
