Mislabeling leads to Kraft recall

(WBIR - Laurel County) A Laurel County, Kentucky company is recalling more than one-million pounds of product from grocery store shelves.

Truitt Brothers Inc., based out of East Bernstadt, announced Sunday that it is recalling 1.77 million pounds of shelf-stable pasta and ground beef products.The products are made with hydrolyzed soy protein and dried soy sauce -- both are known allergens.

According to the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), the company misbranded the food and didn't label the undeclared allergens.

The recall is for 3.3 lb cases of "Kraft Velveeta Cheesy Skillets Singles Ultimate Cheeseburger Mac" with sell by dates between May 6, 2013 and January 16th, 2014.

No other Velveeta or Kraft products are impacted by the recall.
