Ky. gov. approves $2.2 million sewer project

Kentucky's governor has approved a multi-million dollar plan that could help cut down on pollution in the Cumberland River.

Governor Steve Beshear announced the $2.2 million sewer replacement project for Pineville on Thursday.

He says the new system will increase the sewer system's capacity which will help limit how much wastewater pollutes the Cumberland river.

Governor Beshears says the new safeguards will help protect the Pineville ecosystem.
