133 veterans on board HonorAir Knoxville flight 22

Oct. 5, 2016: 133 East Tennessee veterans were welcomed home with music and cheers after a trip to Washington D.C. through HonorAir Knoxville.

Hundreds of people welcomed the 22nd HonorAir Knoxville flight back to McGhee Tyson Airport Wednesday night. 

The flight left Wednesday morning carrying 133 East Tennessee WWII, Korea and Vietnam veterans to Washington D.C. to see the memorials built to honor their sacrifice.

HonorAir Knoxville has now flown more than 3,000 veterans to Washington D.C. after Wednesday's trip.
