$25K grant to help restore Smokies wetland

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park was selected for a grant to restore a wetland area in the park.

The $25,000 from the National Park Foundation will help clear invasive species from the Ravensford Wetland, which provides a habitat for native plants and animals which are found nowhere else in the Smokies.

The Ravensford Wetland is near Cherokee Central Schools in North Carolina.
